I am nearly two weeks out and I wanted to find out if the way I feel full is normal. I Usually get the hiccups and then if I continue eating I get a tight/sore feeling to the right of my bell ybutton, almost on my side... I assume this means my sleeve is full to the brim?

I have heard that when you get the hiccups you should stop, and that when your nose runs it's a good indication that you are full. I don't think you should continue eating after hiccups....I would hate to see you stretch it out. My suggestion (not that you asked) would be to stop when the hiccups set in. I'm only 3 days out (I hope I will get my indicators up and running) I got my first runny nose yesterday....yay!

I feel like I ate a very large meal. I hiccup when I am full too. I am about 2 months out as well. I dont think that means you are "full to the brim". I just think that because the tube is so rigid that there isnt much give. So when your full it really pushes again the walls and gives that uncomfortable feeling. I found the best way for me not to feel uncomfortable is to stop when I feel satisfied and not keep pushing food in. I used to eat and just feel pain and a lot of discomfort. I try my best to stop as soon as I get that very satisfied feeling.

I have decided not to really ask this question anymore because everyday is different. Today I ate two cups of chilli from 1 to 5pm and never felt full, but satisfied. Sometimes it feels as though there are air pockets in between the pieces of food. Sometimes I don't feel anything and sometimes I feel like the food is in my throat so I just throw it up. I don't ever really feel full like I used to, but I am also not really hungry so when I am sort of hungry I eat a couple of bites and that feeling goes away. I love Soups and anything mushy no weird feelings just goes in. Eating regular food it still feels weird. I literally feel every bite go down in load itself into my stomach. I feel like eating is never normal and full will never happen again. I don't even really care about that feeling because that is the feeling that made me depressed. I just don't like the air pockets feelings.

I have not felt full or that tightness feeling in my chest and I am 10 weeks out.

I measure my food and usually don't even get to eat all of it. I eat until I no longer feel hungry and then I stop. I sometimes hiccup and feel pressure in my throat! That is most def when I stop if I haven't by then!

Kelly :)

My problem is that I still eat too fast. My full signal is hiccups but if I eat fast I get them a little late and get a bad pain right at the base of my breastbone...ugh. I try to eat slow...but I'm not good at it.

Kids, that is exactly how I feel! I've asked my husband to watch my eating and remind me to slow down!

I can't imagine why it would hurt on your right side. The stomach is on the left side right? Maybe referred pain? Dunno. But I would stop before I felt that next time.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
