Mandi,

Happy shopping. I said that I would not buy more clothes for a while. I have many sizes put away and I should be able to get away without having to buy some. I did buy something to wear to a wedding I'm going to next weekend, and of course another pair of shoes.

How many of you are like me? I hated (still hate) shopping for clothes but shoes, that's a different story. I must have bought about 10 pair of sandles this summer!!!! The ones I wear the most, a pair of flip flops I bought at Walmart, not Walgreens!!

Oh.... same with me! I HATE shopping for clothes. If I go into a store that I know has nothing for me, I automatically go for things like bags or purses... or shoes. I can't wait to be able to find things in my size at almost any store. How great would that be?!

I've got a problem in the foot department, too. My feet are big, wide and boney. I take a 10 and a half, and very often I can't find shoes in my size. They are all sold out or they are all ugly. I've taken to calling my foot size "drag-queen size." Winner's doesn't stock many cute shoes that are larger than 9. Just like they want to punish us with ugly clothes when we are fat, they want to punish us big-foots!

I too have big feet. 9.5 if I can find it... last 'running' shoes I bought were 10's. Ugg... I feel your pain.

So... Moncton went ok. I couldn't find ONE pair of pants in a size 20! (at old navy) I could have tried an 18, but that's just setting myself up for disappointment. BUT ... I got this cream coloured v-neck sweater and 2 super thin tank tops for underneath. It was an XXL, and still a little tight for me to comfortably wear in public. Those sizes are MESSED up. I'm hoping by the time it's actually cool enough to wear something like that, I'll fit it better! Maybe I'll take some pictures for you guys!

It's always fun buying new clothes. For the last number of years I've been having to buy mine in bigger and bigger sizes and that hasn't been as much fun. And it is harder finding nice clothes in nice fabrics at size big. I am glad you got the sweater and the tank top in Moncton. It's great that they are only XXL. Congratulations! You should be feeling good about yourself. Do you ever shop at Cotton Ginny? That store has been saving my ass for years now.

loreily, thank you!

Wheezy, I know, I know.. I should have tried some 18's, but I'm so used to disappointment in trying on clothes, I just didn't want it again!!! It says 59, but it's really 58.6!

I've got to lose 1.8lbs a week for the next 14 weeks to be 200lbs by Xmas!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
