Is there a 100 lbs Loser's Club?

Recommended Posts

It's been a long, slow journey for me but I had a milestone goal in mind since the beginning that I wanted to lose 100 lbs. I had a 3 to 4 month period after losing 85 lbs where I needed a break and ate whatever I wanted. The weight loss came to a halt. So recenty I got serious and strict with my eating and it worked. After sitting at -99 for the last 2 weeks, this morning the scale showed me a new number...-101, I fit into a size 10 pants today too, so I'm pretty excited. I'm rockin my sleeve and can honestly see my final goal in sight...life is good. If anyone is on the fence about getting the surgery, don't hesitate. It will change your life. :)

Thanks Sophia!! I really have you to thank, since it's our support group that got me going again. I was practically pigging out for a couple of months, but after seeing the success of all you guys, I was motivated to get back on track! And wait a minute....you are less than a pound away from GOAL??? What? That is awesome!!! I think our next meeting will be a celebration! See you soon, girlie girl!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
