Medifast for 3 month pre-op diet - Anybody?

So per insurance requirements, I have to be on a pre-surgical diet for 3 months and I chose Take Shape for Life with Medifast and have lost 5 lbs in the first two weeks! I think it's a realistic meal plan considering the small, frequent portions I'll have to eat after surgery. Just curious how many others have chosen this path and what your results look like. Favorite meals?

I did not use Medifast to pre-op (wasn't required by my dr. or insurance) BUT I am however a long-time user of Medifast. I've lost a LOT of weight using Medifast products (of course I always gained it back too!) but since you having surgery, that will hopefully eliminate the regain. :thumb:

Here is a message board that has as a sub-category a whole bunch of Medifast-legal recipes(meaning it won't mess up the way Medifast is designed to help you lose weight.)

I personally used the Medifast Cookies (made from the oatmeal packets) almost every day. Delish!

Best of luck to you with your surgery!
