Gone for Good Club - July 2006

Recommended Posts

Hope all are doing well this weekend! Welcome to the new members!!!

I have a need to vent. Yesterday was a horrible day of eating for me. It is my fault, I grazed ALL day. Protein Drink in the a.m. . Some leftover Tbone steak and brocolli later. Snacked on some fake crab meat stuff. A handful of almonds later, then 5 little mandarin orange slices. 3 more crab chunks and within 10 minutes a spoonful of Peanut Butter. I finally decided I needed a "real meal" and heated a Beef and veggie Lean Cuisine. Ate 3 bites of the meat and gave the rest to DH, went and ate half of a sliced cucumber, then half a cup of fatfree cottage cheese. An hour later had a bowl of Tomato Soup. Disgusting and depressing, because I normally have a Protein drink for Breakfast and a solid meal for lunch and dinner.

Okay, looking at this the foods werent that bad...but I felt like I was eating AALL day. (looking at this written down I was in the fridge ELEVEN times!) Main issue was eating out of boredom, and I am missing the structure of having a job.....which leaves a set time for breakfast and lunch. I didnt even go walking yesterday. It was a little depressing for me having that feeling of "being hungry" all day, and having a touch of feeling the lack of control over food again. I rarely feel that anymore. Just needed to vent...I know what to do about it, lol.

lianna, you couldn't have picked better snack choices though, really. Artificial crab is usually either fat free, or very very low fat depending on the brand, it's a really clean pure source of Protein. The almonds may be high in fat protien, but they are 'healthy' fats, essential fatty acids, and rich in micro-nutrients, same with the Peanut Butter. fruit, veggies and fat free cottage cheese. I think you did great. Do you track your input on fitday.com? I love it. Sometimes I do regular meals, and other days I graze, and as long as I'm within my calorie range, and protein/carb/fat ratio goals, then it's a good day. Venting is good, but don't be too hard on yourself!

Lianna - it IS good to vent - lol - then change our ways tee hee.....I sometimes suffer from the 'I'm bored syndrome' too - at night - so I tend to keep busy and stay out of the kitchen - it works best that way for me - hang in there - as you said - you know what you need to do -- the good thing is we get to start each day fresh!

Where is our beloved P'Nut? She must be busy losing tons of weight at the gym?

Remember last weekend's plans to get drunk for the entire four days? Yeah, well that's lasted a big longer than originally planned. :faint:

*kisses and hugs* to my Funny sis who's getting her band today. :clap2:

Pnut, I am worried, you're obviously such a sweet vivacious person, and alcohol, especially large quantities is -so- hard on the body. Please take care, I have a brother who is an alcoholic, who has been sober now for a few months, his common law wife of a few years also an alcoholic passed away from massive organ failure due to her alcoholism earlier this year, the time he quit drinking was right after her death. She was only 36 years old, and alcohol killed her, it came as a shock to all of us. I truly believe we all have a right to do what we want with our bodies, but I can't help but feel the forums are here partly to help support one another in getting not just thinner, but healthier. I don't know whether you have a problem with alcohol or not, but please, do take care of yourself. A lot of us who struggle with food/sugar addiction, also struggle with alcohol or other addiction... It's been a fine line for me once years in the past. Be well.

I had such a horrible day yesterday. My baby brother is getting married in September and I decided to go try on dresses for the wedding. While all of the dresses I tried on were a size 18... and I haven't seen an 18 in a long time (considering I started at at 28/30/32), I thought it was great, however, everything I tried on looked horrible. My arms are so flabby and I didn't want to get a dress with those see-thru jackets. I left the store after trying on 10 dresses so depressed that I will have to wear a fuddy-duddy dress. I was hoping to wear something with a wow factor, especially since there will be so many people who saw me just before I started this journey and haven't seen me since. Oh, well, thought I would just vent here, sorry to go on and on.....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
