Gone for Good Club - July 2006

Sorry for posting my signature in the first post I did... I missed P'nut's post about removing the signature.....

Yvonne

Yvonne, I usually leave my sig in the first post of any thread, then turn it off for any subsequent posts, if there are any. That way, if someone wants to see my stats, they can stay on that thread and look, rather than searching all over the board or clicking around. I also leave it if I'm posting about something where my stats would be of interest or pertinent, no matter where in a thread. P'nut made me aware of these techniques and they are pretty handy! So, stats on your first post are GREAT in my book! And, just so you know, you ARE able to edit your own post. Just click Edit (it shows up on YOUR posts, not others) and uncheck the "show sig" box, then save changes. But! leave your stats on your first post here! It's a good practice!

Welcome to 'da club!

Amy you are doing a great job with the July GFG Thread! Now you get to see first-hand all the hard work P'nut has been doing, right?! LOL I'm sure she is appreciating the break this month! I know I would be! And I have been making it very easy on both of you, with no real loss (or gain...whew!) to report. I'll try not to do that much longer. :D

And your pics show a wonderful loss. Many compliments are on the way...no worries. You ROCK!

Kathy you have no idea how much I appreciate pnut and the work she does on this board! Doing this has only deepened my respect for her, and I really hope that she is enjoying her time off from this. Cause it is a lot of work. There are troubles with the formatting on this board that can sometimes take me close to an hour to set right. Its insane.

Thanks for the kind words as well. I have gotten PM's and posts from all of you and the well wishes and chin ups have really done a lot for me as I get closer to surgery. I am SO excited, and nervous. I worry about my kids. On top of that all my mother in law calls me today and tells me that my daughter has been throwing up every night since we left them there. At about 3am she wakes up, pukes, then feels great and goes back to sleep. I have no idea why she would be doing this. But lord only knows how much they are feeding her and what sorts of sugary things they are giving to her. So that has me worried. I know I am going to go to Mexico with a lot of worry on my mind over this unless I hear that she stops.

Well, we're off for our anniversary trip very early tomorrow morning so I'll post my weigh-in for the week today instead. -3 lbs! Woot!

MollyMolly - H 299/ S 275/ J 240/ G 140/ C 230 (-69 lbs total)

This is going to be a tough week to lose. Today's dinner will be hot dogs and potato chips. I'll eat a half a dog, no bun, count out 1 serving of chips, and maybe find some veggies to munch on if I still need more. Is it wrong that I am wishing I could pig out and not suffer the consequences?? :hungry: :P

Wed/Thurs DH and I will be travelling. All our meals will be eating out for two days! Thankfully both days our activities include significant walking (Butchart Gardens tomorrow and wandering around Victoria on Thurs) so hopefully that will make up for the eating out. Despite my best efforts I usually don't manage to eat as lightly when in a restaurant as I do at home.

:rainbow:Hope everyone (American anyway) is having a bang-up 4th of July!!:rainbow:

:( [PoTC is out on Friday!! I can't wait!]:)

Hi Everyone!

I have also had fluctuating weight this week. Down 4 lbs at one point I am now back at my original weight - mostly due to the 4th pig out last night and Fluid retention I'm guessing. I'm beginning the crazy Soup diet today that I fondly refer to as "poop soup" because with all the roughage that's what it makes me do! I picked some fresh green Beans this a.m. to put in it and I've got all my fruit ready for today. I'm starting to get hungry so that's where I'm headed!

Amy, good luck to you on your surgery and try not to fret about your daughter - probably just being away from home and being spoiled. As long as she feels good and is staying hydrated I wouldn't worry. I'll be very anxious to hear about your trip and experience. I've set my date for August 17th in Monterrey with Dr. Rumbaut. I'm going with a good friend that I work with who had it done in April and she's going to get her first fill then too. Should be an experience for both of us! Best of luck to you!

Andy

My stats are the same Amy.

I was a VERY bad girl this past Friday thru yesterday, so I am back on track now. I need to lose 20 pounds by the end of September for my own damn piece of mind. Want to get to 199 by November 9th, my bandiversary!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
