I'm ready, but my HEART isn't...

I was all ready to have the surgery next Wednesday... In fact, all I needed was the pre-op!

So as I was doing my pre-op on Tuesday, the doctor told me that I needed to see a cardiologist because my heart is having trouble pumping blood on the right side and I have an irregular heartbeat. She said that without the cardiologists' approval I won't have the surgery.

Seems like a lot to handle when I've waited for this for 2 years and my mom was just banded on Monday. It's even worse to tell her about it because I don't want her to worry.

I saw my surgeon and he said he didn't have a problem with my heart, but the anthesiologist (sp) might have one!

I see the cardiologist later today for clearance... so wish me luck!

Leona, best wishes to you. This is probably one of those things where they are just covering all their bases, especially if your surgeon was not concerned. LEt us know the results!

That's great news! :clap2: That's good they are aware of it going in and are comfortable with proceeding! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!! July 5th will be here in the blink of an eye! I'm excited for ya!! :)
