Smell of Food

Today is the first day that I really wanted to say to heck with it all and grap a slice of pizza. My family fixed Pizza and I had to leave the room. I am not hungry but I really want to eat something. I have been making a list of foods that I want to eat once I get the ok. I just had to write this, for me, for strength. I know it will get better. I just need to get out of the house.

When you finally do eat those foods I think you'll find yourself a little disappointed. They don't taste nearly as good as you fantasized! lol Which is a good thing I suppose!

Yes, i agree...those first few weeks are really tough when you smell food. I am 2.5 months out and some smells of food still bother me. What I did at the beginning when that would happen is take a bite, chew it a few times and spit it out. It totally helped. I just had to be careful not to swallow. Also, it may be true (as in my case) that when you can eat it, you won't like it. I took a bite of a sugar cookie yesterday and about threw up. Your tastes may very well change.
