18 year old sleeve surgery

I'm 18 years old and I'll be having my LapSleeve surgery march 1st! I'm sooo excited but I know I'm going to have such a hard time with giving up food. Ive always grown up with having big family meals and I want to know how everyone who's gotten the Sleeve done dealt with it?

Wow! This is amazing! I was sleeved at 18!!! Which was just 5 and a half months ago. I know what it's like feelin like u are the youngest person and not havin peers that's undergoing the surgery. I wish u all the luck and keep us updated fellow teenage sleever

Welcome and congrats on taking a step closer to being healthy! What are your weight stats? Where are you having surgery?

Well I will tell you from experience that you have to put your mind in doing this.. I am on liquid 2 week diet right now and I know for certain that I am going to miss my food. You have to realize that we are 99% the same as you. I was told by my nurse when you are ready you will know it.. You get to a point where you are sick to death of being overweight. You are sick of the comments ;the eyes that say it all when they look at you. When you get ready for the change you will be strong and do it with no problem. Good luck and I will say the people on here are wonderful. They answer and comment on everthing that you will ever need to know..
