My NUT told me not to take Biotin because it increases your appetite. I also have Aphogee products but I don't use them on a regular basis but planned on using them at about 2 months out - I'm 1 month and 10 days out.

Yeah I don't use my aphogee products a lot either. But I'm a little over 2 months and I'm about to start back using their Shampoo. I might do a protien treatment but I'll see how I do without it first. Everyones dr and nut. are different I was ok'd to take it.

Thank you so much for reaching out! Congratulations on the 20 pounds! What is your current position? Sleeved or Waiting? What foods did you eat or liquids did you choose?

No prob....I ate salad with fst free vinaigrette dressing and Protein. chicken, turkey etc. No carbs or sugar. No meals after seven. No carbs besides complex carbs in fruit. Water, water water. ....I put cucumbers in mine to help with flavor. My surgeon did not put on any liquid diet or anything of the sort. He simply said you need to lose x amt of weight or I will cancel surgery. I had surgery 10/16/2012 and have lost 85 pounds so far.

Hello everyone, I'm a 35 y/o single female with no kids. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2000 and sleep Apnea in 2011. The company I work for does cover Bariatric surgery, and I really thinking hard about taking the next step. I'm at my heaviest 255 pounds with elevated bp, and currently taking metformin, spiralactone, continuous birth control(hormonal imbalance), and Lyrica(fibromyalgia). Yes, in 2009, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and sciatica, and I THINK my weight has a lot to do with. I would love to have kid(s) one day; I just need some guidance in this situation.

I'm sorry I'm new to this.

Hi. Im 31 no children and my highest weight was 282 at 5'3 1/2 I have endometriosis and pcos and had high chlesterol. My doctor informed me that weight loss was my only hope for having children and symptoms of pcos and endometriosis to improve. Recently I lost 35 lbs on my own and I have already noticed a difference. My cramps are less severe and my cycle now flows on its own without hormone pills. My chlesterol is lowered. I am definately having my surgery on june 4th and I cant wait. I hope this helps you. Do your research first and know the facts for yourself! Good luck and keep us updated!

Thanks, I'm going to schedule a consultation with a surgeon. I just want to be comfortable physically, mentally, and with my health.

Thanks' date=' I'm going to schedule a consultation with a surgeon. I just want to be comfortable physically, mentally, and with my health.[/quote']

I'm 33 with 4 little boys. I REALLY wanted children. I got the surgery 3/29. I was afraid that I could die and leave them motherless, but you are literally doing this to MEET your future children. I say GO FOR IT! Get a great doctor and surgeon who won't just tell you what you want to hear. It is work, I can't lie. The first month has been rough....but it's worth it!

Hi ..I am 6 weeks post op. I've lost 37 pounds thus far. However this morning I wanted to cry. I've gained 2 pounds. Did anyone else go through this? I know I'm losing inches. I've just gotten used to the scale going down.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
