Couple of questions

I'm new here and scheduled for surgery on 6/29. I have a couple of questions:

1. What is the deal regarding taking medications? Do they need to be a certain size?

2. How long did you take off from work if you worked in an office setting?

3. How do you get in all of your liquids if you have to sip everything?

4. Anyone else go on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks post-op? How was it?

Thanks,

Kathy:help:

i think the meds need to be broken in half if large & if possible. i had surgery monday, came in to the office for a few hours friday and have worked half days this week ( could work all day but hey if i don't have to....lol) i don't have to sip, i don't gulp but i have been worried i am not drinking enough too, it has to be something you are very conscience of. i had clear liquids first 3 days, now i do chicken noodle(small noodles) soup, tomato soup, sugar free pudding, slim fast shakes & protein shakes, jello, mashed potatoes it was hard doing the broth & jeloo the first couple of days but now that i can do pudding & mashed potatoes & stuff, it is not hard. Good luck to you. Message me if you need anything else. JJ
