prescription Omeperazole...break them?

Does anyone know if you can break the capsule of prescription Omeperazole? The pill is uncomfortable to get down and I would love to mix it is with my liquid Calcium.

Thanks!

If they are the funny gold color capsules, you can open them and sprinkle on applesauce (or anything you choose). You just have to make sure that you do not chew the little balls. I was unsure about doing this but my PC doctor and the pharmacist said it was OK.

I would definitely call your pharmacist, it may be a time release. even if its not a prescribed med you can call them and ask...good luck vicki:)

Yep, you can open them and sprinkle them on anything. But do not chew, crush, smash the small beads in the capsule. It's not time released, but those little beads dissolve once we swallow them.
