Is this heartburn?

I had my sleeve on 9/9/10. Everything has been going great. Over the last day or so when I have eaten something that has tomato in it, I have been getting a burning, painful feeling in my lower throat. I've never had heartburn before but I feel like this might be what the pain is from. My husband thinks if it was heartburn it would be lower.

Any suggestions?

It's true that Prilosec can take up to 14 days for maximum efficacy. But, it will work. You might have to take it twice a day in the beginning. I really hope your doc gets serious about the reflux. Tums just won't cut it, and it's just a miserable situation to be in.

Well I called my doctors office, and spoke with a triage nurse, she is having me go and get checked out. Finally I have been having this problem since week one. Maybe something will get done now. Wish me luck, I just hope it is not something more serious.

Tums and Rennies do nothing for me, but GAVISCON does the trick. It's sugar free and not too disgusting. I'd definitely recommend it.

My doc prescribes Prilosec solutabs, he is super causious of obstruction so I cant take any pills with out cutting and crushing them I just hope they dont taste to horrible
