Portion Distortion Quiz

Hi, all. Hope I'm not posting something that was previously posted, but I don't remember seeing it. Just visited the BMI calculator at the National Institutes of Health and found these quizzes on portions 20 years ago and today for common foods (e.g., bagel, spaghetti and meatballs). You have to guess calories in today's portions and time needed to burn off through exercise. It was really interesting. Apologies if already posted in a thread. NHLBI-Portion Distortion Quiz

Thank you for the post.. I find it really interesting how much the portion size has increased in 20 years. Our society is consumed with the idea that bigger is better.

A couple of months ago I posted a comment regarding this and Coke - old advertisements for Coke-Cola show people holding these teeny glasses with the trademark Coke shape, barely taller than the curve of their hands holding it. Today we are given plastic jugs so big you have to use both hands!
