:typing: Good morning Friends,

After checking the mail yesterday..... with NO approval letter I telephoned the Primary Dr. They indeed reviewed my documents and forwarded them to insurance. Which day? Last week thursday or friday. Well, the rule is 5 business days. I should give them until Friday June 2 -- which is Tomorrow. I'm good with that.

What a weird/stressful 2 days at work. Tuesday I had to call in a social worker for suspected child abuse - not fun, and then yesterday a boy was pushed from the slide and cracked his head on the cement. Head injuries just are the worst. I stood there putting pressure/ice and finally got it stopped. Then the Mom finally arrives and I can't talk to her..... we need to find a translator. Mom then tells us she doesn't have a car and that she will take the bus in 90 degree heat to the hospital for boys stitches! God bless our principal, she told us to call a taxi and she handed the Mom cash for payment! By 1pm I was wiped out and so I drove to the store..... bought a piece of cake..... sat a home and ate it..... then felt better. Emotional eating strikes once again. Sure, glad that I have that therapist lined up, I can't do this lapband thing without guidance, and friends.

Uh-oh, late for work :) Talk later!

Way to go Diane!!! You will make it to your goal, all ya gotta do is stay as motivated as you are right now!

Awww Patty, I bet that little guy was so glad to have you with him, they get so scared when they realize they are bleeding...or bloodin' as my little brother used to say!!! Have youheard whether he is ok?

Happy June everyone!

June... Ahhh... A fresh start!

WTG Dianne... you are rocking your little socks off!!! It feels good to exercise... for the mind body and soul... not sure why I always want to fight doing it???? You are definitely going to reach your goal!!!

Patty... What a bummer day!!!! Head lacerations are the worst... little guy must have been bleeding like there was no tomorrow! I'll be crossing my fingers that you find out about your approval tomorrow... wouldn't that be a great way to start the weekend!

I didn't work out today *GASP!!!!* I needed to stay home and get things done around the homefront. I also am back to counting calories so that I can hopefully get my eating a little more under control. I said I would never count calories again after this surgery... dork. Never say never!

My yearly check is July 3rd and I really want to be back under 200 by then but I imagine that is highly unlikely! Oh well... shoot for the moon and be happy that ya tried!

Here's to June!

Five tips for a woman....

1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.

2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.

3. It is important to find a man you can count on! and doesn't lie to you.

4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.

5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.

Foot Note:

One saggy boob said to the other saggy boob:

"If we don't get some support soon, people will think we're nuts."

Hey Y'all!

Darcy, send four of them men over here and make it fast!;):):o

Sorry about you dog, I know you have had so many problems with them. My heart goes out to you, I know when I had my pets, they were like my kids, and it sure hurt to lose one or have one get really sick.

Dianne - Great job with the w/l, heck you'll be there before you know it.

Beanie - I was really good at the fair, I shared a turkey leg with DH and drank Water, it was after I got home and all the neighbors got together for supper that I screwed up!:D :D :D I wish I would have gotten to meet up with you! Hey, I watched that nun show, how funny!

Patty - Go get them girl! Keep after them, they'll get sick of the phone calls and push you to the front!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Sorry about the accident, but glad you were there to help him.

Kat - I'm still keeping you and DH in my thoughts, I just know things will be alright. I would love to go to the Austin rally, just haven't made it yet! Maybe next year. I haven't forgotten that you want a picture of my bike either, I will get to it soon, I promise!

I haven't caught up with the rest of the posts, seems like I just don't have enough hours to get it all done. I have been trying to post a few things on the boards too, but it seems like as soon as I start reading some of them, I run out of time to post! I sure hope people don't think I just don't care, because I like helping them alot!

Cindy, Eileen, Anne, Sherry, Becky, Ira, Pat, and everyone else I missed, hope you are having a great day.

I walked outside today and had another Tomato ready to pick! Yummmmm, I love fresh tomatoes. My peppers are getting almost big enough too. But....... my weeds in my flower gardens are out growing the plants! Boy do I have my work cut out for me.

The Mav's play tonight, and I sure do hope they win! Y'all keep your fingers crossed for them huh?

I started walking again, did it for two weeks, and then this week, my foot is back to swelling up again, so no walking this week. I'll probably end up getting it checked out if I don't see some improvement soon.

Well, going to go kick back and enjoy the rest of my evening.

Hi everyone, I am waiting to hear about a date for surgery and bootcamp etc. I hope it can be in the first week of July, that would work out good with the job. Do you think that the band will work as well as the bypass surgery? They say I can change my mind if I want to. The support group is this Monday comming in Galloway NJ. It's really good. The Dr.O will be Dr. Did any of you have him? Well hope to hear from some of you. Patti

June Chat

I POSTED THIS THIS MORNING.. SEEMS WE MUST HAVE STARTED THE SAME POST..

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning and Welcome to June...

Darcy - Have you made an appt with Your Doc yet? Hopefully it turns out to be nothing but better to be safe.. Sorry to hear about Ava ~ ouch in the pocketbook ~ Hopefully your babies will get to feeling better soon.

Hi Kat ~ Praying that you get the call and everything can move along for you and DH. I have not had time to read back on your trip ~ Hope you all enjoyed it and relaxed. You got it girl...

Donna ~ My Heart and Prayers go out to you. I have seen on my ex's side what alcohol can do to a family. Hopefully he will make a turn around.

Eileen ~ Mine are coming more common since Dec ~ early menapouse is what the Doc says. Hopefully it is not true but it's expected I guess.

Beanie - I have a call into my Lawyer cause I really do believe that I am entitled to the whole thing. But in order to get him to sign off on the house I will use anything at this point to keep the peace and the house and it's contents. Believe me I would rather not give him a dime for all the emotional crap I have had to take from his bottom of the barrel family and that is putting it nicely. I will be taking cell phone / ins pymt off the top... sounds like you all had a good time this weekend

Patty ~ was it hard to set up the Tivo? I would really love one but am still not sure. I order movies from Net flix and those sit around my home for like a month. I was thinking they were going to call and tell me to send them back..

Pat ~ Sorry about your friend {{HUGS}}}

I love your golf course yard.. Especially your ride ~ I could go round and round on that all day.. Even make money giving rides.

Cindy ~ glad you are ticket free..

Betty ~ Are you getting any rest yet??

Becky - Happy Belated Birthday

Sherry ~ have you checked out Ebay for the Gun he wants? That is good that he is working to offset the cost..

" EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH ~ SHERRY"

Dianne ~ I bet once the Snacks are out of the picture for you and ME - we will see a differance..

Carol ~ Hi

Well here we go another day in the neighborhood. Just pluggin away and waiting for the insurance lady or adjuster to call. Total loss is what the adjuster told the collision place.. See how much they will be offering is the next question?

Other than that this would be the first weekend he would get the boys for overnights but he already said he would rather not take them till he has his apt ready? humm all the flippin fighting and now he does not want them. A$$

Well tomorrow is pay day and hoping to get some bills out of the way at least on my side, little does he know that there is a garnishment on his check. Kids are doing great and ex SIL is taking them to the park to ride bikes today. Other than that not a whole lot going on today. I bring in Breakfast tomorrow that is todays delimma.. Crap why did I agree???

Hi, I have a question for all of you with some "fill" experience. As it stands now, I am scheduled for my first fill on the 16th of this month. DH has his last tests run here on this coming Thursday, and then we will schedule the surgery. The local cardiologist told him it would likely be the week of the 19th sometime. Is this fill going to make eating out as I will have to all the time too difficult? Would I be better off postponing it, or will it be ok? Thanks for any input you might have for me!

Kat - Stress really does things to the band, so just be careful if you do get a fill. It would depend on how much fill you get as to how much eating out would bother you. I had a few fills before it bothered me, but some get tight on the first fill and can't eat much. You might want to consider waiting until things are over with before you get the fill, or just get a small one. If you aren't having problems with hunger yet, I definately would wait.

Guess I wasn't much help huh?

Actually it does help, I am leaning towards postponing it, I guess I just needed to hear it from someone else, who has been there, so I didn't feel like I was just losing sight of my goal amidst all of this. My weight is maintaining, but I have continued to lose inches if not pounds. My calves and my arms actually enlarged, but I figure that is muscle developement...or I am hoping!!! Some hunger issues, but I think I can handle them for awhile....maybe!!!

Thanks!

Kat

Happy June!

Kat, you and Dh are still in my prayers. On the fill, my 2 cents...stress really does affect what I can eat, probably because if I'm stressed I eat too fast, and too big of bites. I can eat out just fine, though...there will always be Soup, where ever you eat...but you just do what you think you can handle. It will all work out eventually. The band is still there, and it will wait for you.

Diane...you go, girl! 201 is soooo awesome! I'm looking so forward to getting there. I'm so happy for you!

Betty, I bet you are doing the happy dance for the Mavs tonight! The next game is Sat. night, and we'll be at the Gaylord Texan, so guess I better see if they make reservations at the sports bar there...huh? My DD and I might swim, but my sis, BIL and dad will definitely want to hang out and watch the game.

Darcy, hang in there. I've been there, and it's tough.

Pat, what's up? Eileen, Beanie, Mary, Patty, and all the rest of you wonderful people, hope you have enjoyed the first day of June!

Hugs, Cindy

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

      2. Selina333

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
