Definition of VSG

My insurance lists the following approved procedures....

Approved surgical procedures may include gastric bypass, gastric stapling, gastroplasty, and the Lap-Band? adjustable gastric banding system.

Do you think one of these would cover VSG? I hope so.

    Sleeve Gastrectomy is the usual term referenced for VSG. From the list you provided, it does not look like VSG is a covered procedure. You should contact your Member Services to validate.
