With regards to marshmallows, I am sorry, but if I am going to eat marshmallows, they are going to be roasted over a fire and slapped between two graham crackers and a hershey bar! :faint:

*waits for Jenna to make something out of slipping a Hershey bar between two graham crackers*

*snicker*

Oh wait! That was slapping! Even better! LOL!

Man I have *clearly* been out of touch around here...sheesh! Who knew there was even an issue....sh-t, the weather is so nice here I've been outside frolicking in my new smaller sized clothes.

God, LBT has been a such an amazing support for me. I mean, in my own surgeon's support group there are few band patients. The good people here told me what to expect before, during and after surgery. I can come here with ANY problem and find at least two people, often more, who have had the same or similar. The lap band community is small but growing.

So to quote Hill Street Blues.....hey, let's be careful out there........

Damn you princess girl! Try this one next time....slip a piece of chocolate INSIDE the marshmallow before roasting it and skip the graham if you want -- we call it marshmallow surprise......OR for all you resses addicts out there....use PB on the graham cracker too OMG!!!!! OK, sorry, but someone else started this cyber feeding frenzy!

Oh wonderful, now we're posting food porn :faint:

If that's food porn does that mean the appropriate way to describe what I'm feeling is...horny?

:cake:

I'm glad to see this thread went way off track, so I'm gonna share another secret. Someone made these at work one day (we used to have an oven) and I thought it was a stupid idea, but the place went nuts over them. It's the easiest thing in the world, and all you have to do is cut Jet Puffs in half or quarters with scissors. Lay Ritz crackers on a cookie sheet and top with the piece of Jet Puff and bake till the Puff is golden brown. OMG, these buttery Ritz Snacks are so damn good!

Then you need a cold snack to eat tweeners, so frost up a bunch of Graham Crackers and pop them in the freezer (butter frosting is way too good.) Break the pieces so you have little frozen Cookies to go with your Ritz Puffs.

Then come to LBT for support regarding our obesity and food issues!

Do NOT throw your shoe at me!

I'm absolutely going to hurl. Am I the only person who hates marshmallows?

I don't hate them, but just thinking of trying to stuff them through my band makes me feel STUFFED up. :speechles

I'm a little weirded out by the 'mallow/ritz combo -- are you sure that's good?!?!? ............. Give it to Mikey -- he hates everything...................He likes it! He likes it!

Sorry, just slipped back to 1976 for a minute there -- all this talk of marshmallows and ritz crackers puts me in mind of "mock apple pie" and chicken a la king...........time warp!

Alexandra, you are clearly not human! Or at least not American! Who on Earth can resist a perfectly browned (not burned) marshmallow? And I thought the baked Ritz was gross, too, but you just gotta try it.

I'm sorry for the hijack but Jenna started it!

Okay, now I just can't resist making all of you smile on this thread!!! See how it all started so seriously, some got their words out, we hashed a lot out, and now we are hugging over marshmallows? I love communication. Especially when food is involved.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
