Places to get liquid protein samples

Recommended Posts

I didn't know that there was a certain type of Protein that we needed. Thanks for the info. I wanted to find out why whey is better for us and below is a nice simple explanation (taken from protein-powder-resource.com)...

whey Protein powder is the most common type you'll see. Basically it's the liquid that comes after the curdleing process. Once this is done, it makes it to where your body can absorb it. This is what I take everyday because it has the highest Biological Value (BV) Here are 3 main forms:

- Concentrate

- Isolate

- Hydrolysate

Concentrates are low in fat and cholesterol. On the flipside, there are higher levels of milk carbohydrates. Your body absorbs about 55%-60%. This will run you the cheapest.

Isolates removes the fat & lactose. This makes for a high concentration. Your body then absorbs 70%-80%. These are price in the medium range.

Hydrolyzed are the easiest to absorb, but cost the most. Basically the same as isolates except, this is the most absorable type thats made. That means your body absorbs 99%!

There is alot more information on this type. My purpose here was to give you the basics without getting all technical. Whichever you pick, make sure the fat content per scoop is low. Sure, some are cheaper then others, but the extra cost might be worth it if your trying to lose body fat!

I wonder which Protein drink brand has the most hydrolyzed Protein?

Both of the ones I use the most say protein Isolate.

Does anyone see the hydrolyzed protein on any of their containers?

Where to get Protein foods and samples

Here is another list of where to get samples:

1

Chike Nutrition - will send you a sample of each flavor they make for the cost of shipping

unjury - sells samples of all their flavors.

Vitalady.com - Protein supplements, Vitamins & Minerals, and Safe Snacks! - will make up a sample baggie of any protein they sell. Also has pre-packaged samples from the manufacturers that make them

Nashua Nutrition - Protein powders :: Protein Powder Samples (1 Serving) - sells many protein samples from many companies include Optimum Nutrition and Syntrax (makers of Syntrax Nectars, which are very popular)

Protein Sample Starter Kit - Our bestselling RTD's & Powdered Proteins PLUS - a starter pack to get you through the first few weeks. It's not all Protein drinks.

Special Discount Packages : Laparoscopic Associates: new eStore - my surgeon's starter packs. Includes some protein Soups and other "bariatric" foods.

Netrition Protein Sampler Pack - sells a sample pack of their "Most popular protein products". But this is not a WLS site, but a general nutrition site so some of the samples may not be appropriate for us. (Most in the picture looked fine though.)

In terms of buying protein in stores, GNC sells many of their Proteins in individual packets and in smaller bags. They will also let you return any protein powder you buy from them even if it's opened. So you can try it and, if you hate it, you can return it.

Jay Robb makes single serving packets of their proteins. I bought them at Vitamin Shoppe.

nectar Syntrax

You can get a box of all 11 nectar Protein flavors directly from Syntrax for $4.99 plus $5.99 for shipping. Contact Rick Davis Medical Sales Manager nectar@si03.com1-866-333-7403 ext. 803

Thank you for this information. I ordered the samples from Syntrax. It's $13 w/ free shipping. And I just ordered the Unjury Sampler. I really don't like shakes, but the ones that are similar to juice, I feel will be a better consistency for me. Thanks again!!

I went into my local GNC (Hamilton, NJ) and explained I know NOTHING about them, never had em, and the sales person was fantastic! He let me try everything in little dixie cups to help me find something, and as posted before, he told me I could return it if I wasnt completely satisfied. I didnt know it would cost me so much either :-/ so he knocked off $10 and gave me a free shaker too!!

Today I purchased AMPLIFY smoothie and it has 20g of Protein but the crap was 50.00 is that an ok price?

You have to watch the size of the package. Some have 2 lbs in a container, some have 5 lbs, some of them don't even have 2 lbs. If it's 5 lbs for that price, that's about normal. I pay 44 something for 5 lbs of myofusion choc/peanut butter.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
