Hey, Low-Carberz

Recommended Posts

Do you find you generally lose more weight than others who don't follow a low-carb lifestyle?

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I've lost 228 pounds in less than 20 months and I don't restrict my carbs at all. In fact, I eat tons of bread, Pasta, rice, and potatoes.

The amount of weight you lose has nothing to do with low carbs, low fat, high Protein, etc. It has to do with figuring out what way of eating works best for your specific metabolism and sticking to your daily calorie allowance. Diet isn't "one size fits all" and there is no right or wrong way.

Just my experience and opinion.

I do an unofficial version of carb cycling so basically one day I will have lots of carbs and other days it's low carb. By doing that I don't feel deprived but I have to be honest, I do feel a lot less bloated and "skinnier" the next morning when I go low carb. Good luck =)

I had GREAT results carb cycling to break a couple plateaus. I actually wish I could right now for a couple weeks but I eat too many green veggies when I carb cycle and I'm currently on Coumadin- and green veggies (Vitamin K) messes up my blood levels big time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
