You have come to the right place for advice and support. It is a major decision and of course some people will have had complications, but if you follow the rules as you are supposed to you should have a fantastic outcome!! Good luck =)

Thanks Rose, well i want to do this change. And i am young im 23 and i have like soo much to live for. Amd well i can't do it alone, i need advice and motivation.

I'm 24. I'm less than 3 weeks out and I already love it.

Elivia- My advice is do your research, but don't do what I did and wait five years to make the jump. I only gained more weight. I'm still new, but I have no regrets with getting my band. It definitely is a tool, not a quick fix. As, you'll read some people fail, but most of the time when you read their back story they didn't treat their bands right.

Good Luck!

I am new to this also. I have been tossing around the idea for a few years, while continuing with one failed diet after another. I decided this year is the year. I have just been approved by my insurance company and have my pulmonary and cardio clearance left to go. I believe I will be having surgery either right before Thanksgiving or right after. I am scared too! I feel like this has all happened so fast and I don't know what to expect. I know my eating habits will drastically change, but what about my day to day life? Will the surgery affect my digestion? How about alcohol consumption? How long does it take to get back to solid food? Will my skin "sag?" I really just need someone to give me a step by step description of the process! lol
