Hello Junbies ......

I haven't seen a June Band Crew thread yet so thought I would start it .

I'll be banded on June 9th in Texas. I'm getting very excited about it. I know that the band is just a "tool" to aid in my weight loss journey and it will take a lot of hard work on my part to make it successful. I've been overweight my whole life with the earliest memories being around age 4. Although no one else in my family is overweight, I am extremely fortunate to have full family support in my decision. I know that there are many people who's family doesn't offer the support they need. I would love to meet other pre-bandsters being banded in June to walk with me to the banded side of life and offer each other support.

I've never posted a photo before cuz I am a closet bandster! Plus., I couldn't figure it out. I'm in red. This was last September.

You can't really see my body in these, but you can tell a little in my face. I hid from the camera alot! I have more pix, but they need to be scanned. These I had from my digital cam.

Socal: Your so pretty! Its so nice to finally see what you look like. All the pics I posted were my before and the rest were my after up until December. The profile picture is from Jan 6, 2007, my 37th birthday so you can see the change in my face.

Iam taking my 1 year picture on June 13th and will scan and post shortly afterwards. Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks for the compliments. I still feel like a fatty! Ha! Pinky- If you used Photo Bucket, there is a button on there that say "resize". I think I used the one that says "message boards". I hope that helps.

Pinky: Its nice to put a face to your post! I posted mine by uploading from my HP downloads I had on my computer and I could not figure out how to make them smaller either.( I noticed yours were from photo bucket) Its nice to see everyone's photo's and put faces to the person.

I have to take my one year photo next week and this weekend I think I will buy a special outfit to take the photo in.

Iam still not sure what do to celebrate my one year since Iam not going to Vegas with the others.

Its a toss up between A Glamour Shoots photo shoot with the little black book which I found out from the site they let you take like 4 poses and they put them into a book for you alond with the make over and hair for $40.00 dollars plus tax and so on.

My second its to treat myself to a Dooney and Burke bag I have had my eye on that cost about $200 dollars--Its a special occasion so the cost on the credit card its worth it right!

The third is a day at the spa which I had for my 30th and 35th birthday and the whole day cost $300-- again --Its worth the cost on the credit card!

My husband and I have agreed that when I reach goal we are going to go on a special vaction together without our son --a second honeymoon of sorts.

So Does anyone else have a day of surgery picture that they are brave enough to show like I did? It took alot for me to share that photo with all of you. I have only shown that photo to my Nurse ANP and my surgeon and no one else until now!

I look at it now and it make me cry to see that 290 pound woman I was and to see how much I had let myself go !

I have not weighted myself since I saw the Nurse ANP on May 25th she had weighted me as 252 but that was a 10 pound gain from my March 13th weigh in. The cause was the medication I was and my depression made me go back to my complusive overeating. I have been gaining and losing from the medication Iam on for my Bipolar!

Since May 25th I was on Optifast up until May31st ,when I started to have the abdominal pain. When I called the surgeon he told me to stop takeing the Optifast since it was upsetting my stomache. June 4 I was in the emergncey room for what I thought was a Gallbladder attack its Gastroenteritis ( see post of that day).

So I have my once year follow up on June 14th and Iam looking foward see how much I weigh since I have not been able to eat anything except-- broth, jello,icepops,dry toast and some rice. I need to drink even more water than I have as no to dehydrate.

I feel horrible !

Oh, well --I will get over this!

Seeing my pics and seeing the pics of you all has really motivated me at the time that I have needed it the most. I hope that you all will find the same motivation.

I think a cruise or something tropical would be a great idea for next year. I've never done a cruise so I don't know much about them.

Lisa- I have my day of surgery photo, but I need to scan it, as it was from my 35mm camera, not my digital camera. And my scanner isn't hooked up to my computer right now, so I'll work on it this weekend. I have a retirement party tonight and a baseball game tomorrow(GO PADRES!!!) and a baby shower Saturday, so I'll try to fit that in! I want a post that shows I've had more dramatic results. I feel like I look the same! We'll see about a cruise. I'd love to do one since I never have, but I was supposed to take my nephew to Japan next June for his high school graduation. My sister isn't talking to me right now, so who knows if that will happen. At least I'll have plenty of time to save up!

Barb- Have we heard from Lucymann and Barb123? Are they still going to Vegas? They haven't posted in awhile.

OK now tell me how to get our thread to view on my screen without me having to scroll left and right. What's going on.

I heard from Barbara12 today. We're still a go. Lucymann told me she was real busy, but she paid for Celine so I'm assuming she's still going. Pinkylee, Melissa, and I are definites. I think we're OK. We're working on the suite now. When is everyone arriving? Barbara12, Pinkylee, and I are coming in Thursday morning. Melissa comes in Friday morning. What about you socal?

I love cruises and they are lots of fun. I've been on about 9 and now I've got my DH loving them as well. We've been on 2 and have already booked our 3rd.
