I feel your pain:)cutieRN. I think since my pre-op visit I have staid within my normal +/- 5 pounds. My goal has been not to gain. I think I need to zip my mouth :zip: :zip: so I quit eating all this junk:pop2: . Need to continue fighting with myself :fencing:and know that I am experiencing head hunger/cravings.

I did the unthinkable ......I moved the bathroom scale :funscale:to the kitchen. So everytime I think I'm hungry:hungry: :hungry: :hungry: I jump on my scale to remind myself how hungry I am not :o .

:hail:Hale (or is it hail) to jude and cidny for doing such a great job. keep up the excellent pre-op work.

As for me and cutie ---we can do this, we can do this :cheer2:

Morning everyone,

Well I am NOT doing so great!! Yesterday, I was up almost 3 lbs. I didn't understand why and thought my scales were screwy - thought it would be back to normal today. Today when I got wieghed - I was up another l lb!!! What the hell is going on here???

I have been averaging 550 - 650 cals per day for 8 days now. I have been fasting since last night a dinner so that I can have a blood test in a couple of hours. I have only had Optifast, veggies, coffee clear, v8 juice, crystal light and Water. I have not waivered at all.

I have been treading on the mill 15-16 min as well as all the other normal activities. So what is going on??

What does this mean for post banding??? I am going to be unable to lose post band???? This has got me worried?????????????????

I am not pre-menstrual as I am post-menopausal - and I am not retaining Fluid?????????

Any ideas???

Calm down Jude!

You probably are not retaining Fluid but you might finally be well hydrated. That means your up a few pounds to where you normally should have been with hydration. Besides, you shouldn't weight yourself everyday. Men/women do fluctuate weight +/- several pounds within a day (dependent of Fluid, food, etc.). You will do great post-op.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it :)

I know there are more of you lurking. Please come on in and say hello. We promise not to bite (well, maybe a little nibble :hungry: since some are hungry doing the pre-op diet:faint: ).

Hello Junebees,

I am scheduled for banding in Monterrey Mexico with Dr. Rumbaut.

I wish it were already here! My life is pretty busy until then...pray that I will keep losing right up until my surgery. I've lost 14lbs since I scheduled 4 weeks ago. We are going to DisneyWorld next week on vacation and I do not plan on going on a fairwell to food tour. I have learned over the past few weeks that a meal is more enjoyable if I don't leave the restaurant miserable. That feeling of satisfaction is enough for me now. If only it would last more than 3 hours?? That's why I am getting banded!

After my week of vacation I have 3 weeks of grad school and then....IT's Banding TIME!!! Anyone out there as impatient as me?

Welcome back from a long holiday weekend. I know that since many of our dates are nearing, there are many starting on the pre-op diet. What was your holiday sin ....mine was tortillas :omg: . I was in Mexico. They don't make tortillas like that in the states (corn and/or flour). YUMMYLICIOUS!!!!!!

I nees support now more than ever. I'm still here for ya and I know your here for me (thank goodness) :hungry: :hungry:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
