Ok hi you guys my name is Laura I'm from Chicago and I'm barely in the process of my 6 month evaluation before putting in request for lapband , I'm super excited just to learn new things from the dietician I went to my first class today and still need 5 more visits to see her before even putting in my request to my insurance I really hope I get accepted and just hopeing and wishing for the best!!! Congrats to all for wanting to get healthy...I'm still kinda a newbie, my insurance requires 3 months and next week is my 2nd meeting with my primary doctor and the dietician. I'm so excitied to get to the end of the 3 months so I can find out if I'm approved. I would love to have this done in December so I can start the new year out right! Good luck to all!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie as well. had my first consult 3 wks ago, which included meeting the whole team, Drs nurses dietitians, I did bloodwork a breathing tests and EKG that day. and I also have to do the 6 months with the dietician for insurance. My first appt is next week, I've done a chest X-ray a sleep study, which they said I have mild apnea and snoring, and I also have my upcoming appt for my upper endo on 10/28. I have another appt to see a psychologist and a liver xray, i do have diabetes, osteoarthritis, high triglycerides, but I'm worried my weight and height will not qualify me my BMI is 35?
