Access Port above left breast

Just curious, do any of you have your access port placed above your left breast? My surgeon said this was the most stable place to put it because bending and moving would not affect it and it reduces the risk of the port flipping.

Mediports are placed their all the time and I actually have some pretty thin pts who have them and they usually can hide them pretty well. Plus, mediports are bigger than our ports. I dont know that I wouldnt have rather had mine there than the middle of my upper abd.

That is a very interesting placement. Something like that would have worked well for me. Where my port is right under the left breast but close to my waist line. I have a very small torso, so there isn't much room for placement and sometimes I do irritate it when I move around a lot or overexert myself.

Please do follow up with us as yo move forward to let us know how it's working out for you.

My port is placed right above my left breast as well...although I'm only 13 days post op, it has not given me any trouble at all.
