I fell off today n feel bad!!!

I am 2 weeks banded.I went to my family function today n there was so much food. I prepared my lunch bag with yogurt protein shake n some broth. However I wanted what they were eating. I sucked the seasons from 4 jerked wingets. I put a spoonful of onion dip n my hand n ate that. Then I went n set down n ate my food that brought from home. I was so week. I did not bite the chicken n swollen. I just wanted to taste it. Should I feel so bad? Did I do so bad? I plan to cut back tomorrow n only have the protium shakes n water.???¢

It's not a matter of doing "bad" or cutting back tomorrow. It's a matter of letting your stomach heal from surgery. It's been sutured, manipulated, and overall wounded. Cheating on your post op diet puts you at very high risking of ripping a suture and/or causing a band slip.

Hopefully you didn't do any damage. Just stick to your post op diet from now on- regardless of what you want and what social function you're at. It's simply not worth the risk to cheat.

Mis73- thanks and u are right. I will definitely stick to my post op diet. I think I will skip the social functions for a while or don't stay as long. May b just stay for 1 - 2 hours. Definitely not 5.

I'm 10 days banded and really feel great. Smoochie food, liquid and protein. Hope you get back on track. Hell we all slip once in a while. My issue is not sipping liquid, rather drinking a mouthful at one time.
