Has any one else develop pancreatitis with their band?

Pancreatitis isn't caused by the band. However, losing weight by any means can result a bad gallbladder, which when severe enough can lead to Pancreatitis.

Are you banded? Having problems?

I agree with mis73. I had gallbladder removal about 8 years before my lapband. I also, developed a bad case of pancreatitis afterwards. Seems that there were stones left me my bile duct. Neither my gallbladder nor my pancreatitis developed due to lapband! I guess it would be possible, if you have to have your gallbladder removed due to weight loss, but I don't think that that would cause you to get pancreatitis! I have a surgery for removal of my gallbladder on the 26 september. I would say that if I didn't lose so much weight in such a short time I would have. Developed gallstones so I would say yea and no. But my worries are getting my gall bladder out. And my digestion changing has anyone had any problems after the removal with the band?
