Congrats to all of you - I had my surgery on 9/13. Still on mushy food for 2 more days. I hope all of you recover quickly - good luck ;)

I am going to start slow with Greek yogurt and thicker Soups. Going to make a batch of chicken chili and blend the heck out of it so it's really smooth and pretty thin.

I have been enjoying my stage 2 foods puddings and tonight for dinner I am going to have a cheeseburger Soup blended. Can't wait. My tummy is so happy to have some food in it instead of just liquid.< /p>

I was just feeling a little nausea after drinking some crystal light lemonade. I felt a little tight and felt like I was going to vomit from over-eating, and so I took my bra off for some comfort, and now my lower stomach is rumbling like a thunder storm. Am I just imagining things or was my bra cutting something off? Impossible, right? since the stomach is in the ribcage?

PS I can't stand this percocet drug. It makes me feel stupid. lol

Have you had your first post op BM? That took care of my thunder storm and the little nausea I was having. Just a thought

Oh yeah, I had some um... TMI ALERT almost surprise diarrhea from the swallow test barium. Since then I've been having some bunny rabbit sized ones. LOL (((Like was mentioned before, only here on LapBandTalk can we be so open, huh?)))

Well congrats on the explosion!!! And yes being open is great. The BM was my only solution. Maybe you just drank too fast or something. Hope your thunder storm has calmed down.

Well I decided to try a cream based Soup mixed with a lot of Water so that it would be slightly thicker than broth. Now I feel stuffed. The most I had was somewhere between 6-8 oz over 30-45 minutes. I even waited as I ate and ate with a baby spoon...the fullness snuck up on me. I don't feel sick or nauseous or like anything is stuck - just full. Hoping this feeling passes soon. Lesson learned. :)

Had surgery Monday, when is the gas from my belly going to go down. It is so full, had and uncomfortable. I feel bigger than I did pre surgery.

Also when will I be able to sleep on my side and not on my back in the recliner.

I would recommend trying to walk as much as you can. Also try the gas-x dissolvable strips. You should start to feel less discomfort soon! Hang in there!!

Arch you are bigger than you were pre surgery. You've been pumped full of gas and liquids. After five days I was laying on my non port side. Gas pain went away on day 5 as well. It gets much better and seems to happen quickly.

Finding myself drinking a lot faster and more then 1 oz every 10-15 minutes. I am hoping I haven't messed my pouch up.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
