hungry the day after surgery? naseau

Ok I am 1 day post surgery but I am having stomach growls and am hungry. I got nauseated a minute ago and had to take a Zofran to prevent vomiting. I have only had 2 oz of my protein shake today because before surgery I didn't like them and didn't know how well they would sit. It was ok but I only drank 2 oz. Any suggestions?

Sadly, you have to stick with the shakes to escape the hunger and nausea. Or maybe chicken or vegetable broth will sit better with you. I think it's like 1-2 oz an hour or something to stay satisfied. Don't worry, this too shall pass and once you get on your mushie foods it will seem like a grand banquet!
