Need some encouragment...
I am just over 2 months out of surgery. I have had some success and some setbacks. I have great days where I can stick to diet with no problem and then I have days I cant seem to get "bad" food out of my mind or mouth. I am feeling down today because the past few days I haven't been doing as good as I want and it upsets me. If my mind was where it needed to be I know I could be a lot farther on this road than I am now. I have an apt next week and am dreading going because I know compared to the last appointment (I lost 8.5lbs in 2 weeks) I wont have done as good. How do yall get through these days when u feel like a failure?

Yes it does so I am on day 2! Ready for day 6 so I can add mushy food!!- Post op diet!
I had surgery at 7am on the 19th, does Friday count as day 1 of post op diet? They told me to follow it starting after my surgery. Just checking what day of the post op diet I am on?- Back to work tomorrow! banded the 19th
Thanks for all the advice! I have another nurse on standby so if I cannot make it but with a recent change in ownership if company I really can't afford to take off because we have no pto. I am not going to push myself too far though. I shall see how tomorrow goes- Back to work tomorrow! banded the 19th
Well today is my last recovery day I am headed back to work tomorrow after being banded on the 19th. I am feeling good today. No pain meds so far. Some soreness in my abdomen but trying to keep walking and stretching it out. I am nervous to return to work because I am a nurse and work 12 hr shifts but my boss at work knows so I have permission to take it easy and do what I can. I don't have a desk job but I can sit at my desk on and off through the day. guess we will see how it goes.- Banded July 18th
that's good. I had mine done the 19th but I have been hungry at times. was having gas pain a lot yesterday but I have not had any today. No pain meds today. good luck!!!- laying down
I had surgery Friday and normally I sleep on my stomach so not being able to has been a real challenge. I have slept on each side but only for a couple hours on each. I can't wait till I can sleep on my stomach again!! Hopefully soon!- Back to work
When was your surgery?- hungry the day after surgery? naseau
Ok I am 1 day post surgery but I am having stomach growls and am hungry. I got nauseated a minute ago and had to take a Zofran to prevent vomiting. I have only had 2 oz of my protein shake today because before surgery I didn't like them and didn't know how well they would sit. It was ok but I only drank 2 oz. Any suggestions?- Worried about anesthetic
Well I was super nervous about being out under and all but it went very smooth. I cried as soon as I left my husband but within 3 minutes I was out and don't remember anything until I was waking up. I was kind of scared when I woke up because I didn't know what to expect. Definitely drowsy and a mix of pain and soreness but all mild. 10-15 minutes after I woke up I was walking to my x ray! You will be fine! Good luck!- Surgery this morning and feeling ok
Yea that must be what mine is walking and the gas x strips are helping! And I feel better today. Hope you do too!!- Day 13 pre op diet
I had cravings on my pre op diet so bad one day I actually chewed up the food and spit it out. I would have looked ridiculous if anyone would of seen me but it kicked the craving and I didn't feel as bad. I know it sounds horrible.
