Exercise Today

Recommended Posts

I went to the gym today, did 40 minutes on the elliptical at various speeds - keeping my heart rate at 130, so a nice easy workout, 500 calories or so. Then I did 2 circuits of the circuit room.

I've been working out almost 6 months.... 45-60 minutes of cardio every day.

Variation of treadmill, 1-mile at 3.8-4.0 mph, uphill 2-3% and then 32-42 minutes of Elliptical.

Basically I try to keep my heart rate at 145-150 for 45 minutes per day.

I usually burn 700 calories per workout according to the computer.

Then four days a week I also do strength training upper body. Usually 3 sets of 10 for various arm and shoulder weight machines. I have increased some weights from 90lb to 110lb!

I feel my shoulders, back & biceps with more definition and tighter. I can see that my legs are a bit more toned and my wife thinks my butt is smaller...

but I have lost almost no weight. Yes, I do eat a bit more, but not 700 calories worth!

Is there light at the end of the tunnel???

Nor for me, I'm fast running out of time and too much running around of kidlets to do. Nevermind, I've done something every other day this week.

I was banded on 7/05/06. So far I have lost 23 lbs. I will have my first fill

on 8/31/06. So far everything is good. I feel better than I have in many

years. My initial start weight was 212 and my goal weight is 130. I have

a long way to go but with the help of my new lap band hopefully all will go well. I've been reading the posts for the past 2 months and I have found many of them very very helpful. Thank You.

Doegirl:)

escudero...I heard thru the grapevine that Telly is taking a 'break' right now from LBT - is that true - someone? anyone? Telly girl?

While it isn't a big deal to most - it is to me:

today I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and actually JOGGED for one minute in between each 5 minute increment - I haven't jogged in ages so it felt like a big accomplishment to me........5 min of jogging even with arthritis and degenerative disk disease and fibromyalgia....yea!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
