Banded 6/26

Hi everyone! I got banded on 6/26. I am down 20 lbs since starting liquid diet two weeks ago. I'm not having any trouble with the liquids-just tired of them. I did eat 3 tater tots tonight with my kids after smashing them and taking little bites. I am longing for different texture than liquids. Sometimes I think I might regret doing this. Please tell me it gets better! I even tried 4 little goldfish crackers and aren't having problems. I'm scared this isn't going to work for me.

Just stick with the plan the dr gave you and it will work. Good luck

I know it is hard but you can do it. Follow the plan. You don't want to fall off the bandwagon.

Hi, welcome. I am starting the mush phase tomorrow. I know I am not going to have much restriction until I get properly adjusted, I can just tell already. We just got to hang in there and watch portions/calories etc. I hear it is much easier once we are in the green zone.

What exactly is the green zone? Is that when you aren't hungry but you are losing?

From my understanding, it's when your band has been properly adjusted enough to allow you to feel satisfied on 1 cup of food (or whatever your surgeon suggests) for 3-4 hrs. So yeah, not hungry + losing steadily. B)

That's what I thought! Thanks!

We share the same band day!!!! :)
