  1. Thanks Dr NaNa. But if you would read, I did not encourage her to continue anything. Lap banders eat their young huh. LOL
  2. Oh....You feel obstruction because you are swollen and healing from surgery!!!! You will lean that just because things go down doesn't mean you should eat it!! Please be careful! The risks others have mentioned are so very real...
  3. Sylvie I too was allowed to eat immediately post op. I was on liquids for 1 day. I was allowed mushies the next day and instructed to advance as tolerated. Thought you would like to know that! I had no appetite for at least a week. I couldn't even eat a whole yogurt. My surgery was June 26. I've lost 21 pounds since surgery. 40 pounds total. I'm very happy and I have not hurt my band. Still I want to say BE CAREFUL!! You're still healing. If you're not happy with your doc, start looking for a new one. You may want to see a nutritionist. The lap band journey is majority YOU. A small percentage is done by the band. Good luck and welcome to band land.
  4. How do I do that ?
  5. August 26 was 2 months!!!!
  6. That's true. Every doc is different. I was allowed mushies the day after surgery. Always follow YOUR doc's orders!!!
  7. It's fine. My appointment was in the afternoon so I definitely had eaten.
  8. I, like many of us, am in bandster hell. And that's ok. It's part of the process and I'm happy to be a bandster. I've lost only 2 pounds in the past 3 weeks BUT...I went through my closet and was able to purge about 6 dresses, 2 pair of pants and a shirt. Felt amazing. Some things totally swallowed me! Also, I am wearing a dress today that a few weeks was a little tight and required a girdle. Today I had to adjust the straps and left that tight girdle at home!! I love listening to my body versus the scale. Maybe bandster hell isn't so bad! Press on friends. It's totally worth the fight!!! Have a blessed day!! ❤
  9. 6 months is great!!!
  10. Thanks ladies. I'm not stressed about as I'm only 6 weeks out. I was just wondering. My scale isn't moving much but my favorite capris are too big! My body is changing and that feels great. I do not regret the decision I made and I feel so much better already !!!!
  11. I got my first fill 2 weeks ago. 3cc's. I've heard, including from my Dr, that after a couple of weeks, I could possibly be eating more to be satisfied and feeling hungrier earlier (not in the green zone). At 2 weeks after that fill, I'm very happy with my fill and my "restriction" (I know the difference...just using the word for conversation). My question is, how long before you started noticing you need more of a fill? People have told me that I'm going to need NUMEROUS fills but I'm smart enough to know every one is different. Just want to know how it was for YOU.....YES. YOU!!!!!

  13. I'm great! Happy. I have 3cc's and don't go back for a month!! . My scrubs are too big and I'm fastening my bra on 3rd hook! woo hoo
  14. Go Lori ! Keep it up!!
  15. Yes. Definitely had that! Now, I wish I had just a little of that regularity.
  16. Since banding, I've prayed a new prayer at meal time. Lord, thank you for the food I'm about to receive and let it go down my band with ease. LOL. My kids think its hilarious. Thought I'd share! Hope you all are having a GREAT day!
  17. WOWZERS! Great job. You look amazing.
  18. Lexapro and no problems!!!
  19. I'm in the same situation. Was banded on June 26. Going to kings island this weekend. I asked my doc and he said it was fine! My doc is more lenient than most it seems! I got to eat mushies the day after surgery ! Ask YOUR doc !!
  20. You look great!! Congrats!! Keep up the hard work.
  21. Fill was easy and practically painless. He put 4cc's in and I couldn't get the water down so he took 1 out. Next meal liquid. The next will be mushy. The next will be solid. Hope it goes well.
  22. My first fill is tomorrow and its 4 weeks out. I begged for one at 2 weeks but he said the healing isn't complete that early. I didn't believe him then but now I can tell a huge difference than 2 weeks ago!!
  23. Congrats! Take it easy! Rest! Let your body heal!
  24. Oh NSV! Fastened my bra today on the last hook!!!
