  2. Hello! I'm Erica! A ICU & Dialysis RN. Everyone knows I'm having the surgery but I am very nervous about being cath'd at the hospital I work at. SMH. What if they think the pubs aren't trimmed the way they should be and tell everyone. LOL. But seriously, you know how gossipy some people can be! As long as the versed comes before lithotomy and the catheter I'll be ok LOL. Surgery is Wednesday.
  3. Hello Friends. Just thought I'd share a NSV!! I set a personal goal to loose 10 pounds before my liquid diet. I lost 8. Since being on my pre op diet I've lost 8....here's the NSV.... I was asked today if I've already had surgery! Made me feel amazing and helped me to keep my eye on the prize! 7 days until surgery!!!!
  4. Luckily I get to leave the hospital on soft foods as tolerated!!!
  5. CONGRATULATIONS! It's great to hear good news! So you've lost 18 since surgery?! That's awesome! I band in 8 days on the 26th. Any advice?!
  6. I'm on EAS drinks and I'm very tired of them too. I've been having ummmmm.... GI problems and had to take phenegran. I'm starting to feel better but I'm so ready for this to be over.

  8. I'm on my diet. ALL liquid. Nothing chewable. Water and protein drinks. Broth or sugar free jello if you just have to have some thing. It's very trying!
  9. June 26th for me. Been in my liquid diet since Tuesday (started a day early because of a root canal). I've lost 6 pounds! We can bs buddies.
  10. My appointment today was very short. I got my papers for pre admission testing and doc went over the surgery. I work at the hospital that I'm having the surgery at so my doc cracks a lot of jokes. We have a lot of fun!
  11. YES! We can do this! Stepped on the scale this morning. Down 3 pounds. WOW! That helped me put things in perspective! 12 more days! I have an appointment with my surgeon today!
  12. Hey David. I'm Erica. Getting banded on the 26th. My pre op diet is water and protein drinks. I can have sugar free jello or broth if I'm just dying and have to have something. I started a day early in my diet because of a root canal. I'm not hungry but my family is eating and my brain says I should be too! Right now I'm having a lot of emotions. Kinda sad, but I keep telling myself it will all be worth it soon! We can be band buddies.

  14. OMG my husband is mowing and having me go out and get the kid's dinner because its getting late. I'm LIVID. How inconsiderate.

  18. For me, once and it's not a private visit. The RD does a seminar but you get a binder with amazing information!!!
  19. We can be buddies. I'm June 26. Right now I'm doing ok. I can't have any food. Water and Protein drinks. Protein Drinks keep me full. I'm not hungry but every one else eating is VERY HARD! WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
