weight gain after giving up smokes

Hi feeling nervous had band 3 years ago from 116kgs down to 55 kgs in August last year since then I have given up smokes yeah! But am now 73kgs can't stop eating lapband doesn't seem to helping appetite has anyone gone or is going through the same situation

Being an ex-smoker too, I'd be willing to bet it's head hunger not physical hunger. Because you're no longer getting the hand to mouth stimulation of smoking, your brain is making you want to eat to try to replace it. It's extremely common and why so many gain weight when they quit smoking.

Perhaps you could find a support group? Or maybe a counselor? Some sort of outlet to deal with it besides eating.

I gave up smoking many years ago, so not really able to give advice. But as Mis73 said, probably head hunger!
