Swimmers? Im nervous...

Recommended Posts

how many weeks after surgery can we get in chlorine?

My doctor said 4 weeks for a private pool, 6 weeks for a public pool. I have internal sutures with surgical glue on the skin incisions. I don't know if the rules are different for incisions with external sutures.

I love swimming..I am 3 and a half months post op and I swim 4 to 5 times a week. I also do an aqua fitness class at my gym and swim laps after..I also swam competitively all through high school. It was a bit intimidating at first but I soon got over it and decided I was doing this for me and it is something I like to do...each day I try to push myself to work harder than the last. And usually the lanes are roped off into individual lanes so you should be able to have one to yourself and you don't have to worry about anyone else and you can go at your own pace..anyway good luck on your journey :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
