LOL, You know what they say "you're as old as you feel", lately I've been feeling 35-40yo. Just realized today, I have not worn shorts in years and thats all I have been wearing lately. I never thought that would happen. Makes me feel young again.

When I came out of my room yesterday, ange said "you lookin skinny today". "looking skinny", really???

Carole, I can't wait to see your new kitchen. HGTV & DIY are my favorite channels to watch. Watching House Hunters right now.lol

Things should go well tomorrow. I'm driving the truck and Evan & his uncke doing the heavy lifting. One problem is, I need a step ladder to get into truck.lol Second problem is, we're in the middle of tropical storm Andrea right now. Its directly off our coast at this minute. Hope it just heads north quickly.

You know what she's laughing about? They were telling her how her brother threw up in the van.

For some strange reason, she thinks others discomforts are hilarious. We think it b/c whenever bad things were happening to her, we were trying to make her laugh.

She's always laughing and smiling.

Dee, it sounds like cj has learned how to control ppl, like maddy.

For along time she was doing the same thing and it finally dawned on us, that it was akways on her dads day off. It got to the point that the nurse would call and say "is her daddy home today?"

She's the boy who cried wolf.lol

Only moving today, was packing all their things at my house. Tomorrow is the big move of all the furniture and housewares.

Pray for no heavy rain, thanks!

Seems to be soothing again here. Funny how I'm so dense that I didn't even really notice it until now.

So you all, it's nation run day. Did any one run today...other than your mouths that is?? Well don't feel bad because I didn't either. I ran in place in 30 sec intervals in my TRX class today.

If any of you are curious to what I do in my TRX class's here is the link. https://vimeo.com/album/2407694

you look great twin!!!! Love your profile pic! How's your latest fill working out? Janet, good luck tomorrow w/ the weather and the move. How exciting and exhausting all in one! Careful w/ those knees!!! Dee, I had to laugh when I woke up this morning. I dreamt about my bra and how it fit, etc. Must have happened from talking about your VS visit and sizing yesterday. Nicole, so glad you are doing well in banded life!!!! Sorry for this run on paragraph, I still cannot hit "return" when I am posting messages on LBT at home and don't know why. :(

I must live "in a cave" now. TS Andrea did not make the news up here.

I know how drenching those rain bands can be...praying that you do not have to cope with much rain...

We also enjoy HGTV...not a big fan of DIY, but now that he is retired, Jack sometimes watches it. I've been relaxing with a good book recently. Not that we spend much time doing that!

Glad,to read that everyone is doing wo well...I've got to get through all of the house related issues, and then get my life back on track. I'm still dealing with a very finicky band. This evening, I had to give up eating a frozen Greek yogurt bar...band too tight. The only easy meal today was lunch.

I cannot figure it out. One day at a time...

Awesome, we are all here! So happy we are all together again, and drama free zone. I would like for us to try and be supportive of each of our personal goals for WL with the band, we got a little side tracked before and some of us struggle daily and never say a word so lets get this party started. I go see my WLS tomorrow evening at 4pm, he has not seen me for 6 months, think he will be surprised.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
