Anyone here who had to get pre-authorization for a band removal, without any subsequent revision? My pouch is seriously dilated, and the surgeon wants to remove it ASAP. I'm not willing to do any further WLS. If you had to do this, did you have any trouble getting insurance to authorize it?

From what I hear its not difficult to get approval as long as it is "medically necessary". A good friend of mine had hers removed last week cuz she had problems eating anything at all. It was approved immediately.
