Hello just looking to see how much everybody else has lost.. I started my pre op diet on 18th of may, and I've currently lost 19 pounds, is this enough? Or not enough? Please comment what you've lost as I'm interested ;) thanks xxx

Hi, I have 8 months with the lap band I lost 76 pounds,I used size 16 now I'm at size 8 my doctor said I need lose 20 more pounds,I'm working on that!! Everything is going to be fine with you,the lap band is a tool to help you lose weight just eat healthy, walk a lot, drink a lot of water, good luck!!

My doctor didn't specify an amount I needed to loose before surgery. My liquid diet was strictly to shrink my liver. Any weight I lost during that time was a bonus. 19 pounds is good. That's a lot of weight. Don't get too bent on "is this enough", because then all your progress won't feel like enough. Trust me I've been there. Everyone is different. But you're doing good!
