if you sum up 5 pound per month that 50lbs. in 10 months on a slow pace but healthier. i lost quick but slong with it i lost my hair and i was misrable the entire journey cause i ended up in the Er. several times for dehydration. Sometime you walk out of there ok and the next day you cant even take a sip. and by the time you get back in there its been a good 3-7 day of maddness cause the weekend crossed you or a holiday or he was in surgery. with my experience they either put tooo muvh or put too little or take out tooo much. im a Cash patient. So when your poping out $400 bills at a time it because fustruating. i was in the green zone for 18 months at 153 pounds size 9 and deciede to loss more and go down to size 5 .. so i go in get an adjustment keep in mind my doctor suggested me nit to that i looked fine. He did the adjustment i lost and dropped to a size 5 but i was so tight from my band that in the middle if the night i aspirated Fluid into my lung and got and infection. my doctor went into the hospital and took out all the fluid cause i could keeped anything down. that made me gainweight cause then u gotta take the med with food. uuugh! so now i have my fluid back in and back on track to losing weight. i sleep elevated up now to avoid aspiration back up.. Be patient sometimes by us rushing then we make things it worst..

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
