Single manbanders?

Recommended Posts

I'd like to meet a guy who is going through or has went through the Lapband. It would be nice to have someone who understands what I'm going through and motivate me. I just want someone at the end of the day I can call and talk to about my day and my worries and my diet and it won't bore him. It'd be nice to find someone banded in my area but I there isn't even anyone my age in my support groups. So long distance wouldn't bother me. I live in TN. Born and raised here, open for moving. So if something did evolve I could see a move happening. I'm going to be 27 in September. My Lapband is still in the approval stages with insurance. Just doing all the required stuff at this point. If any man banders are looking for a lady to take this journey with message me or post back :) lets get healthy!!

You'll be about a month ahead of me :)

Are you nervous? How's the pre-op diet going?

Its going pretty good! Haven't really had any issues so far and I have lost ten pounds already! Feels really awesome! I'm just ready to get the surgery over and start my new lifestyle!

I know exactly how you feel. I can't wait! I'm just adjusting this diet and tweaking it to fit. I've been using Instagram to connect and get healthy recipes and opinions on what's good Protein wise. It's nice having these support groups. Sometimes it feels like no one around really understands. My family especially. They are all a bunch of skinnies and they eat horrible stuff. My momma is the carb queen of the south. Lol

Yeah I have been on past diets for the past 6+ years and have lost weight and kept it off but then I would fall right off the horse and get right back up and do it again. Yeah the support groups I have been to in the past have really been awesome and the people in the group are about 5-10 years older than me but hearing there experiences was really awesome. I really had to pound alot of info into my family's head and alot of my friends so they could understand why I'm doing this and hows it going to benefit me in the future!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
