I messed around with my iphonography app. But my pics i don't have two chins anymore! Haha! Great feeling.

Almost 40 lbs gone since pre op diet started on 1/11 and surgery 1/25!

Where'd you start to first see the weight drop? I think mines in my face first then works its way down.

It definitely starts to show in the face first.

I always lose in my butt and legs first. I look like a marshmallow held up with 2 toothpicks. My face is always last. My dad had a fat face and was never overweight. After losing over 100 lbs, I still had a sack of fat under my chin/neck area. I wouldn't really call it a double chin, I call it a blob of fat. When I went to the cosmetic surgeon a couple months ago to get an estimate on a TT and Lipo on my chin, she said I'd had it for so long that it might end up looking like a turkey neck (the fat stretched it out so long that sucking it out might cause saggy skin).

My mom says it won't be "me" without it. I'll probly live with it forever. You are all lucky who lose it in the face first!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
