  1. I gurgle all the time. My grandchildren think I'm very talented
  2. This brings back bad memories. I was also very sick. Finished my pain melds...still feeling awful. I was sick for 3 to 4 weeks. Got better! Started losing weight! Best decision ever made. Don't be depressed...it gets better. Not everyone pops back quickly.
  3. Congratulations and best of luck! I hope you have much success. It's not always easy but soooo worth it. I have never felt better about myself. One downside......I spend too much time at the mall!
  4. Good for you. It's a long but well worthy journey. Relish every step and enjoy you new power!

  7. Good for you! You know what you did wrong and now you can correct it. Best of luck
  8. Don't give up. You won't be sorry. It gets easier Protein shakes...yuk I make mine using about half cup of frozen fripuir, half cup low fat milk, half cup..or less.. Of unflavored Greek yogurt and 2 packets of sweet we. Blend in a ni game blender for a out 2 minutes. Really good! I eat this for Breakfast or an afternoon snack. You're doing great. Wait until you see your reflection in a store window and you're surprised that it's you!

  10. You have the tool. You have the desire. Now you have a doctor. You're on a new road to success and you will reach your goal. Stay positive! Good luck on your journey!
  11. I also have this problem. I do allow an occasional glass of wine. Try to plan your evening snack. Try a small piece of cheese with a couple of crackers. Or a small dish with almonds. Or make a smoothie....1/2 cup skim milk and 1/2 cup of frozen fruit..blend in super blender z( like a Ninga) add sweetener, if needed. It's thick enough to eat with a spoon and tasty. Take up a hand craft you can do in front of tv....knitting, clipping coupons, etc. good luck....you can do it
  12. You're doing great. I have been banded going on three years. I did achieve my goal but I am still living in fear of failure. Guess that's okay though, it keeps me aware of my food intake and portions. Consider it one of the "side effects"
  13. Buy a powdered protein powder to mix with cold milk and frozen berries in a blender. Eat beans...lentils, etc. I found out about farro. It is high in protein and fiber. Cook like rice, taste good..a little chewy. I add about one half cup of cooked farrow to soup or broth for lunch. Eat Greek yogurt. Hair is my problem too. I take biotin and zinc. Good luck and don't give up. Loosing 60 lbs is better than great hair. Wear baseball hats.

  17. Blame it on nerves. This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. Even if you don't get a lot sleep, you can use some concealer. They haven't yet made a concealer for thighs. Relax and enjoy the ride.. It's worth it
  18. As she starts to loose the weight, people might ask "how did you do it?". I really didn't want to tell them that I had lapband surgery, but I felt deceitful if I did'nt tell the truth. Everyone had the same reaction..."oh, ...you look great... What they weren't saying was....oh, that was an easy way out. This is the most challenging life style change imaginable. Not an easy fix. You sound like a friend who will be supportive and encouraging . You can be my friend anytime!

  20. Good luck! You will do great. Sounds like you're already on the right path. I have been banded over 2 years...no regrets.
  21. First off, go to the doctor. I know that I sometimes fall back on old habits and eat too fast and don't chew as well as I should. Concentrate on eating slowly and take small mouthfuls Have you changed your food choices? Some foods are more difficult to process. See a doctor for your own piece of mind.
