what do you eat?

Today

Breakfast - Protein shake blended with frozen strawberries

lunch - 4 ounces rump roast, spinach sautéed in olive oil and garlic.

snack - Pistachios 1/3 cup

dinner - 4 ounces of tortilla crusted talapia with chipolte lime, pine nut cous cous, cucumber vinaigrette salad.

Snack - Skinny cow ice cream sandwich. Decaf coffee

breakfast-my Protein shake

lunch- 4oz chicken salad and 2 oz green Beans

snack- sf pudding

dinner-4oz beef pattie, sliced Tomato, 2 cubes cheese

96+ oz liquids (peach ice tea, coffee)

Breakfast, slimfast chocolate Protein Shake with spinach (tastes good!)

lunch , 1 cup of chicken noodle Soup

snack, a mango &Greek yogurt

dinner, broiled salmon, spinach, 1/2 avocado drizzled with olive oil

Sweet, 2 squares of dark chocolate.

Breakfast - Egg beaters with some cheese

lunch - 4oz crumbled hamburger meat with 1/4 cup ranch style Beans, 1/4 cup corn (random leftovers)

snack - air popped popcorn (nothing added)

dinner - trying to figure that out. That's the reason I looked at this thread. Lol

Water - working on my last couple cups to reach 64 oz

Hopefully I don't get flogged for listing my breakfast but its working for me!

Breakfast - 3 slices bacon, 2oz Land O lakes cheddar cheese

lunch - chicken salad or chili with a hard boiled egg

dinner - cod with southwest cabbage salad (one of those ready to go salad kits) with chipotle ranch dressing

snack - None

80-100 ounces of Water

2 week liquid pre op diet - 23lbs lost

Banded 12/21 - 37.5 lbs lost

No fills, no plication

Breakfast- Kashi oatmeal with 1/2 sliced banana

Lunch- 3 oz turkey meatball (homemade, Italian style, baked

Romaine lettuce salad with slivered almonds

Balsamic vinegar and olive oil

Snack- handful of roasted almonds

Dinner- 3 oz turkey burger

1/2 cup of zucchini

Same salad I had for lunch

Snack- 100 calorie popcorn

Water, of course and coffee.

Banded 2/20. First fill 4/5. Started at 223, down to 195

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
