Banded January 9, 2013

Went for my 3rd fill on Wednesday and was told I lost 13 lbs since last month. My doctor said I lost more than was expected which was 3-7 lbs. She said I really didn't need a fill but she was going to put .3 ccs in my band. The month before I only list 4 lbs. Doing the same exercises eating the same foods. Confused as to why I lost so much more the next month. Any ideas?

Could have been any number of reasons, water weight, a bit of a plateau, metabolism change.... just be happy for such a nice loss and keep on keeping on. As far as needing or not needing a fill...it's still about whether or not you are satisfied on the amount of food you are supposed to eat. If you are, no fill needed...if not, then you should have a fill. I'm surprised the doctor said you did not need a fill based on your weight loss. It's not about weight loss, it's about satiety.

Don't rock the boat. Be happy, don't worry.
