Started my 2 week pre op diet yesterday. I find myself staying full, but at the same time wanting to eat everything in sight haha!

Made it through day 2 today with no issues. Just a caffeine headache. Can't wait for surgery day!!!!!

Keep it up everyone! Don't let doubt or cravings sway you from the goal

Today is day 3 of pre-op diet for me, it definitely sucks! Lol But, it'll be worth it in the long run. I know all about the cravings, I literally sat and thought about Bob Evans forever yesterday! Lol. I had a headache yesterday for a little bit, and I have felt weak/tired at times. I'm drinking tons of Water and hoping that gets better! Good luck everyone!!

I'm on my 5th day of my 2 week pre-op diet. It's tough, but I'm getting through it! Almost everything I'm allowed to eat tastes like dog food or chalk! Lol. But, I have lost 7 pounds in 5 days so far so it's definitely working. Looking forward to May 6th!! Hope everyone else is doing well.

Oh creekwood...that's fantastic...well not the dogfood and chalk part...but the 7 lbs part is out of this world right?! Only today and tomorrow left of the old me. I'm busy holding a wake for the fat me. I can't wait to start eating like I'm skinny. The body I'm currently wearing is my past...time to start living!

Its my birthday wknd & I'm soooo depressed. I can't eat any food or have a cocktail... I'm on day 12 of this pre op & I thought it would be easier as the days progress but IT GETS harder... especially since its my birthday.

Welcome to the newcomers :D

I'm getting excited too, although I have some trepidation - like ANewMe - I think that would be really hard not to have a celebratory cocktail on your bday.... At the same time I am also looking forward to having some weight loss. Creekwood - that is great you lost 7lb. Now that it is finally getting warmer here (Leanne you know what I"m talking about!) I find I am hot and sweating and hating hauling around this extra weight.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to ANewMe- even though I know it probably doesn't feel that "happy" at the moment... soon, I'm sure you will be past this and be feeling better :)

Hi - I'm sorry to hear you can't have coffee? They told me I could have coffee as long as it was black or with a tiny bit of skim milk (which is how I usually have it anyway). Not to sway you from your dr's orders, of course!

Not a big coffee drinker in general. I was all about the sodas before I started this journey. I'm fine now! Day 5 of the preop diet is finished and I'm feeling great.

ANewMe Happy early or late (lol) Birthday! That does stink to not be able to enjoy it how you would want to. BUT, next year think of how good you'll be feeling! I know that doesn't help right now though. I agree with pre-op diet getting tougher. I'm starting day 7 and struggling at times. No cheating, just struggling with feeling weak and being VERY irritable at times. YOU are doing awesome and will get through this!! My wife's nephews B-Day party is tomorrow and I'll be attending and drinking my Water Lol. My in-laws know about my surgery and are VERY supportive, so that will help.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
