New to group from Leominster

Hi, New to the group. I just sent my info to BID Yesterday. Hoping to hear from them by tomorrow so I can get the ball rolling. I have decided on the Lap Band before even meeting with the groups. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Question, How come some programs give you up to a year before surgery and others get you in within 3 mths.? Are there any programs closer to Central MA that don't take a year to get thru? I have been fat for so long that I just can't wait to start the journey to a healthier me.

Thanks for any help

Hey Welcome:girl_hug: I live in Texas and will be banded on the 25th. I went to a seminar on the 1st of April and have my pre-op This Thursday. Don't know why some take so long. I researched for about three months and decided I was ready. I think I might be the oldest on this board. 62,

Good luck and if I can be of farther help let me know.

I am from Dudley and I went thru U-Mass in Worcester and it took 9mo. Now it is taking longer, but I will say although it does take long the education and screnning you get from them is wonderful. By the time you are done you are ready and full of knowledge. They give you time and education to get it right.
