Loathing water after fill

Recommended Posts

I've never had a problem with drinking Water before. I stopped drinking soda and juice long before I started this journey but ever since my first fill (about a week and a half ago) I just stare at this water bottle. The thought of drinking it is a complete turn off.

I force it, most of it, but I was wondering if anybody else had a similar experience?

It's very weird for me to not want to drink water.

I have, and yes, they're good but I didn't want to get dependent on a sweet taste even though they are zero calorie.

I used to LOVE Water pre-band, but now it takes all my energy to get 64 oz in per day. I guess my diet used to be saltier and i could drink with meals. Now that i don't drink with meals, i'm honestly rarely thirsty. Granted, i haven't been back to exercising (that starts this weekend), but i can't believe how hard it is to get my water in!

What jendkopp said. I made a serious effort at Water yesterday and only managed less than 40 oz. Keep working at it and forcing it.

Oh no you are not the only one. I have even bought different Water bottles, colors, styles an such. I know have one i like but still regular plain old Water is a chore!!

What i do now Diet Cran juice 5cals/serving mixed with half water not so sweet. Grape crystal lite mixed with half water.

Pretty much anything i drink now is diet an mixed half with water.

It works for me.

Ditto the others. Between not drinking before, with, and after meals it doesn't leave a whole lot of time to cram that Water in. I don't loathe the water now but I am also not as thirsty as before. I used to carry a 1 liter stainless water bottle everywhere I went and I would drink four of those in a day. Now what's weird is I found that when I switched to a 16 oz bottle it's easier for me to get the 64 oz in. Maybe it's not so daunting and its a total mental game but it seems to have helped. But it also took me to 3 weeks post op to build up to it and if I don't make a conscious effort I won't drink it. Not sure what the deal is. :-)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
