I am starting my workout routine back into my journey. I was bad about working out during the holidays. I can't keep moving forward without moving. Haha. Tell me how many days of week do you work out?

3 to 4 days 30 minutes that is all you need. You dont need to be a gym rat and you need rest periods to recover from exercise.

Thanks, Cheryl! I needed to hear that! The stress of feeling like you are a failure if you don 't exercise an hour+ a day is wearing on me. I'm afraid it's going to backfire.

I work out 3 x per week for 45- 60 min each time. One day with my trainer, one day in a class and one day on my own. Works well for me. Any more than that and I would probably give up. Best thing I ever did for myself was join a gym.

I work out about 5x a week, an hour each (in a class setting as if I was on my own, I know I wouldn't be motivated to stay for an hour). This is what I have been doing for about the last 4 years, so it is part of my routine. I fortunatly am a healthy fat person, no medical issues and am able to do pretty hard workouts. Nanu and Dacoop, just getting out for a walk around the block is perfect, and next month, around 2 blocks.........invest in some good music and headphones and the time will fly by....I love walking with my music. Do what you can, not what others are doing. Aerobics in the pool is good for you and you will surprisingly feel it.

I set my goal at 4 days a week for 30 minutes. I have little oneS (2 and 4) so it's hard to commit more time than that. If I find the time and motivation to get more days in great if not I still feel good about 4 days.

I started by just walking for 30 min. Now I do more intense workouts. Just start doing something you enjoy and you will start feeling better and want to do more.

I simply started walking around the parking lot at work and over the holidays I received a new exercise bike. So between the two I am getting in at least 4-5 days a week (personal goal).

I have a little baby, so I don't get to exercise as much as I did in the past. I tend to do a lot of short workouts throughout the day, and it adds up to about an hour a day I would guess? I get up and do 20 minutes of yoga each morning (well... almost, sometimes the baby needs me more than my yoga gets done), and I try to take at least a half hour power walk or jog. I run 4 miles 2 days a week. I do weight training and crunches and stuff like that in the evening after the baby goes to sleep, and before I do.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
