Hi everyone, let me start by introducing myself. My name is Tamara I'm 27 living in the greater Houston area. I decided on the lap band about 8 months ago when I stepped on the scale and it said 299. Since that day I have been doing all the nessecary pre requirements my insurance requires and after 6 months my surgery day has finally arrived. Once I'm home later today I'll post again on how everything went.

Hi everyone, my name is Nadine and I am 36 years old. I just had my lap band put in on Jan 9, 2013. My highest weight was 269 and I am looking to get to 170. I hope we can share ideas with everyone to help us through this and our new life bday as I call it....

I hope you both are doing well. I'm still trying to figure out how to use this darn group I've created. Today is 4 weeks since I started my preop diet and I'm one week postop and down 30 lbs. Yeah. Still a long way to go though!

Good or you. Keep up the great work. I had a hard time last week when my regular schedule was changed. I know I shoveled but missing the gym and not eating right really took me back. Have job ever had ones of those week? If so how did you deal with it?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
