I am a 35 yr old male, 280 lbs at 5' 11''. According to BMW calculator, I'm at a 39. I haven't ha bloodwork in a while, other than weight and elevated cholesterol...I'm not too bad off. I'm scared of future if I don't get it. Do you all think insurance will approve?

It will probably be very close. I was at a 39 my first visit and was told my the drs office I wouldn't qualify with no comorbidities. I tried to do it in my own for a year then went back. I ate a huge burrito, wore my heaviest clothes and drank a ton of Water before my second attempt and just barely squeaked by. It was totally worth it though!! I'm down 45 pounds in 4 months.

Do what you have to to get qualified is my advice, you won't regret it. So enjoy some eating between now and your appointment.

I'm in the same boat! But I will take your advice wear some heavy clothes. Did insurance have any questions about your complete two year weight maintain since you were barely over the limit? Thanks

Well I got approved right away but I did give my dr a print out of my last full year of weight loss attempt from weight watchers. I'm not sure if this was needed or just helpful.
